The people behind Liberty Blue.

Owner, Managing Director, Auctioneer

I founded Liberty Blue in 1997 with a clear idea of what a good estate agency should look like: straight-talking advice, high standards, and a genuine commitment to the people we work with. Nearly three decades later, those principles still shape everything we do.

My background is in hospitality and property, and the two have more in common than people might expect. Both are about people, communication and getting the details right. Liberty Blue has grown into a multi-award-winning agency and one of Ireland’s most reviewed, and I am proud of that, but what matters most to me is that clients feel well looked after from the first conversation to the last.

Away from the day-to-day, I wrote the Amazon number one bestseller How to Build a Smarter, Faster, Better Estate Agency Business and founded The REAL Estate Agency Summit, which brings property professionals together to share ideas and raise standards across the industry. I have also supported a number of organisations over the years including Rotary, Pieta House, the RNLI and St. Vincent de Paul, and served as a director of Waterford Chamber of Commerce.

Maria Clifford

Sales Director
PRSA Licence No 001852-002258

Hello, I’m Maria. Since joining the company in 2004, my journey through the property sector has been both enriching and extensive, spanning over two decades.

My experience covers a broad spectrum of areas, including property management, accounts, valuations, and sales. In 2009, I was appointed as a Director and I currently lead our property sales division.

My commitment and contributions to the industry have been recognised, including the Network Waterford Businesswoman of the Year award, culminating in a national victory through Network Ireland. Awards like this underscore my dedication and expertise in the property field and are a great motivation for me to go further.

Originally hailing from Castlemaine, Co. Kerry — a place made famous by the tale of the Wild Colonial Boy — I carry with me a blend of local heritage and professional acumen. Outside of my professional life, I love gardening, spending quality time with my family back in Kerry, and taking leisurely walks with my two dogs, Alfie and Luna.

John Darcy

Property Portfolio Manager

Hi, I’m John Darcy, a native of Stradbally with a solid foundation in Accounting and Finance from the University of Limerick. My professional journey began in Dublin, where I dedicated eight years to corporate banking, managing a portfolio worth approximately €1.5 billion. This experience not only honed my financial acumen but also cemented my deep-rooted interest in the property sector.

Beyond the numbers, my passion for property extends to my personal venture, Monavaud Lodge, an AirBnb located in the heart of Stradbally Village! This little side-hustle allows me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and share the beauty of my hometown, blending my professional skills with my personal interests.

Veresia Myburgh

Property Management & Maintenance Administrator

Hello, I’m Veresia. I’m South African and a Bachelor of Education Degree Honours student.

I joined Liberty Blue Estate Agents in January 2023.

I’m enthusiastic about the creative atmosphere at Liberty Blue and thrilled to be part of our dynamic team. Every day feels like a fresh canvas for ideas and challenges.

Beyond work, I embrace the outdoors, enjoy staying active with workouts, and am always eager to meet new people.

Lee-ann Corcoran

Estate Agent
PRSA Licence No 001852-010790

I joined Liberty Blue in 2025 and work across residential sales and new homes in Waterford. The variety is what I love most about the role. No two clients are in the same situation, and whether I am helping a first-time buyer take their first step onto the property ladder or supporting a family making a long-awaited move, being part of that moment never gets old.

Before property, I spent years in retail management, which gave me a solid grounding in working with people and building trust quickly. I have since completed my Higher Certificate in Real Estate through IPAV and TU Dublin and am a fully licensed Estate Agent.

Outside of work I am a lifelong Liverpool supporter, so football tends to come up in conversation fairly regularly. I am also a proud dog mum and can usually be found somewhere with my four-legged sidekick in tow.

Rachel Hickey

Apprentice Auctioneer

I manage the sales administration process and support clients from the early stages of a sale right through to completion. I came to property from a background in hospitality, where customer service was not a department but a way of working, and I try to bring that same approach to everything I do here.

Outside of work, I am a reader, a music lover and a sports fan, with football and F1 keeping me busy when I am not in the office.

Barbara Resende

Property Management Administrator

I am often the first point of contact for clients coming through our door, and I take that seriously. Day to day I coordinate viewings, organise valuations, and manage the documentation and advertising for our rental properties. A lot of what I do happens behind the scenes, but it is what keeps everything running smoothly for clients and the team alike.

Outside of work, I am a proud member of the Waterford Dragon Boat Team. When I am not on the water, you will find me reading, playing guitar, cooking for friends or exploring somewhere new.
