There are so many cheap options for house rental available, you could even complete the whole rental process yourself but what happens if something goes wrong? Do these rental agents have the initial tenant selection know how? or policies and procedures in place for when something goes wrong? You should always check a rental agency’s references. A good agent will have no problem in supplying you with references from their clients. If they don’t or won’t then you should be very wary.
Check for a PSRA licence. Anyone dealing in property is obligated to have one but be warned, there are some rogue traders out there.
Ask about how they deal with issues such as non-payment of rent or property damage.
Experience is key in the property market, make sure they have a proven track record of results and happy customers.
