Sea Swim SmArt Auction in aid of the RNLI

We’re thrilled to share our recent involvement in a truly meaningful charity art auction, benefitting the Helvick Head & Dungarvan RNLI.

The Sea Swim SmArt auction, held at Joan Clancy Gallery in An Rinn on March 21st, held a special place in our hearts. It was a commemoration of Cian Nugent, whose life was tragically cut short while swimming with friends last April. The auction, marking what would have been his 22nd birthday, was a heartfelt tribute organised by Cian’s mother, Naoive Coggin. Naoive’s strength and dedication to honouring her son’s memory was truly inspiring, and we were deeply honoured to be asked to participate.

The event was a testament to the power of our community coming together for a common cause. We joined forces with an incredible committee, and together, we became unstoppable. It’s remarkable what can be achieved when people rally together with a shared purpose.

Liberty Blue Estate Agents teamed up with Offr to facilitate online bidding for the stunning artworks generously donated by local and international artists. The response was overwhelming, with 200 eager bidders registering for the 52 lots up for grabs. And the result? An astounding €17,834 was raised in total, all going directly to support the life-saving efforts of Dungarvan and Helvick RNLI.

We can’t express enough gratitude to everyone who supported this cause. Your generosity and enthusiasm made all the difference.

Events like these underscore the importance of supporting our local community and organisations like the RNLI. Their dedication to saving lives at sea in West Waterford and beyond is invaluable. As members of this community, we’re proud to do our part in giving back and ensuring the safety and well-being of all who call this region home.
